Birmingham Sans

1995, Corel Draw 3's ttf export filter and a 486 PC! Birmingham was my first serious face, after some dabling in ornamental capitals. For a slightly different look here is Birmingham Sans, cleaner but still with that Edwardian look about it.

By the way, the jolly glass dog is an ink well, given to me many years ago by my grandfather. He was “Bonzo”, a popular cartoon character in Britain in the early decades of the last century, quite in keeping with Birmingham Sans, I think.
